          To join the adventures of the most successful comic-book read, Basic Volleyball Strategy. Basic volleyball Strategy, is an incredible and brilliant book for all teens and adult players, it’s written by Richard B. Lyttle. The book teaches us how to become a volleyball player from an intermediate to an expert. I read this book breathlessly, so great was this book that I couldn’t stop reading, and had to read till the very last page without stopping my excitement. I guarantee you that when you will finish this book you will get so interested in playing Volleyball. I have also notice that I have one of the most exceptional skills. Seriously, not joking!                                                                      

           The book has been written in a very informative style, so the reader can interpret and learn the steps easily. The book has been divided in three parts, which are: Offensive Strategy (includes:  the serves, the pass, the sets, the spike, basic attacking, and advance attacking), Defensive Strategy (includes: blocking, digging, receiving serves, and defensive patterns), and Physical and Mental Preparation (includes: levels of play, conditioning, team drills, game plan, and the changeable game). In addition, one good thing about the book are the tips after each section, which can develop unique skills in us and if we practice those skills either as teen or adult we could be perfectionist in Volleyball. 

          I really like this book; it has taught me a lot and I am sure after reading Basic Volleyball Strategies I should have been an expert in playing volleyball. When I first read “Physical and Mental Preparation” in the heading I had no idea what it was about. I had never heard about it before. Then when I started reading ahead I found out what it was. It taught me how team drills work, how you plan the game, and which training is required to play volleyball. I will suggest my whole class to read this book; I am sure as I have learned from it my classmates will too. For sure I will encourage those who are going for the volleyball tournament to read Basic Volleyball Strategies, because I am sure this book will teach them something.

          Whoever will read this book will learn very quickly and effectively about the rules of Volleyball. I think the writer has done a fabulous work by writing this book. One of the tips which highly affected my life is “The more skillful you become as an individual and as a team, the more pleasure and satisfaction you can expect from the game.”

          Overall this is one of the best books for Volleyball lovers. According to me the book Basic Volleyball strategies deserves a grade of an A.
